Open the relevant application from the search bar
You need to get to the Application Object you wish to create a notification for. One way to do this is to open an existing record.
In the URL you need to replace the word View or Edit with the letters vo
This will open up the Object
From the left hand menu, select Notification Templates
Select Add Entry
Give the Template a name. It is advisable to put the Object name first which makes it easier to identify later. Choose the Object in the second section and you can give the template a description.
Once you have saved the Template you must create a Notification Channel template further down the same form
Name the subject of your proposed email notification. Complete the Plain Text Message you wish the recipient to see. You can then create a URL link to the document.
Select the Application, Tab, view Mode and the text to accompany the link
Click the cog to select the fields you want to display in the email
Save and exit when complete
Example 2
You must now create a Notification Schedule from Notifications on the left side
Add Entry to create a new schedule
Name the schedule and select the same Object as earlier for the template and click Save.
Scroll down to Recipients and Add Entry
Choose the days before, after or on the Due date and select the same template you made
If you want this message to repeat the put a check mark in the Enabled box which will open options
Select the number of days after the initial message to repeat send the email
Now you need to select who will receive this message. Click on Add Entry.
You can select an individual, group, whole location, step or Role. Everyone who fits that description will receive the email. For example, if you select a role then everyone who has that role at the location will receive the mail.
You can select for example, Person Responsible and/or Immediate Supervisor
And/or select a person
Exit when done
Now you need to create a Notification Setup and select the location or locations this applies to
Open the location you want this schedule to run on.
Click Add Entry to create a Schedule - workflow stage map
Select the schedule you created for this notification
Add entry to create a workflow stage, specifying which stage of the workflow it applies to. e.g. 'In Process' items.
